The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the San Jose Panthers have returned to the league after a brief hiatus. “We are very pleased to have Leilani Llantero and here team back,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “She has a tremendous amount of experience and adds a lot to the terrific Pac North Division. Looking for some great things this year on and off the court.”
Born and raised in Vallejo CA, Leilani holds a Master’s in Kinesiology and a BS in Business Management from San Jose State University. With over a decade at the Golden State Warriors, she excels in Game Operations. She has served as Head Coach at the high school, college and professional levels and steered the ABA San Jose Knights’ inaugural season to an 8-5 record and guided the Silicon Valley Panthers to a PacNorth Championship in their debut 2020-2021 season leading to the ABA Final 8 in St. Louis Mo.
