The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Dover Dawgs located in Dover, DE have been added to the growing number of expansion teams that will begin play in November. “At last, we have a team in Delaware, long overdue,” stated ABA CEO. “And we have a terrific young own who should do very well on and off the court.”

The Dawgs are owned by sports enthusiast Shaquan “Shaq” Mack from Philadelphia. A graduate of Lancaster Bible College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, he currently attends Liberty College where he is studying for his Masters Degree in Sports Management prior to going for his doctoral degree. He is now a Staff Sergeant (SSG) with the PA National Guard.

Shaq is part of a great program at Gateway Church called Develop Leaders which works with youth; a volunteer for the Assn of Cedarbrook Camp, where he has been a counselor, Division Director, Activity Director, Assistant Boys Director. “If you can’t tell by now, I have a passion to serve,” added Mack. “And I have a passion to use my leadership qualities to build up the next generation. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for God himself. All glory to God. I am excited about being a part of the ABA and will make Dover Proud.”
