The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced a new Professional Basketball Players Directory (PBPD). “As the largest professional basketball league in the US and probably the world, we receive hundreds of inquiries each year from players interested in playing professionally in the US and abroad,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And we also receive hundreds of requests from team owners, coaches and scouts in the US and abroad looking for players. Thus, we have created PBPD, a place where players worldwide can put their qualifications, including experience, stats, videos, etc – so that team owners, coaches and scouts can have a “one-stop shop” for available talent seeking positions.”
“The ABA alone sends hundreds of players oversees each year,” added Damon Cannon,” ABA VP of Special Projects. “We believe that PBPD will ease and accelerate the process and will certainly help players find the professional opportunities they seek. We would encourage every player interested in a professional career to register.”
