The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Central Valley Tigers located in Elk Grove CA has been added to its growing roster of teams set to begin play next season. “We are very pleased to have Erik Weiss as part of the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Eric became interested in the ABA almost a decade ago when he first found out about the new iteration of the league. From that day onward, he had been planning on one day owning a team and that time has finally come.”

Erik, who works in the casino gaming industry, added, “The Central Valley Tigers will be a community first organization. Our top priority is creating opportunities not just for players, but for members of the community looking to break into the business world of sports. We aim to create something the community can be proud of and be a part of. I am thrilled to be a part of the ABA as their values align with my own. This is more than just basketball; this is community building at its finest. I can’t wait for basketball fans in the Elk Grove area to feel the excitement of ABA basketball.”
