The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced a late entry into the league for the upcoming season that starts in November – the Knoxville Commerce. “We are very pleased to have Seth Battle and the Knoxville Commerce in the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “It is a great fit and we’ve felt that Knoxville could be a great ABA market for quite a while.”

“We’re excited about entering into the ABA,” added Battle. “We’re bringing professional basketball to Knoxville for the very first time. For year, Knoxville hasn’t had a pro basketball team to call its own, but in 2025, that’s set to change. Now Knoxville fans will have a team to cheer for as the Commerce hits the court and represents our city with pride and excitement.”
