The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Indiana Kings located in Columbus IN will begin play in November as part of the league’s record-setting expansion. “We are very happy to return to Columbus,” stated ABA CEO. “We had an excellent fan base there several years ago (before Covid) and know that the city will once again embrace the ABA and the Kings.”
The Indiana Kings are owned and coached by James “DuB” Washington, an Indianapolis native who played at Tech High School before playing college basketball at Joliet Junior College and Purdue Calumet University. He has coached on all levels from elementary to professional for the past 16 years and his motto is “Anything you do is Everything you do.” “My main mission in creating the Indiana Kings is to teach players to play the right way,” added Washington. “And give players in Indiana exposure and opportunities. This will be a great experience.”
