The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named Dr. Clyde Rivers as Special Director of Civility. “We are very honored to have Dr. Rivers as part of the ABA executive team,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Dr. Rivers is the lead voice for Civility around the Globe and was the first global leader to carry the message of World Civility Day and the Community Civility Initiative. He has travelled to more than 65 countries carrying his message of Civility.”

As Founder and President of I Change Nations (ICN), a consultant and leadership training organization, ICN has established the world’s largest culture of honor system and has made an impact in 150 nations with the culture of honor. ICN’s aim is to create a new hero role model to rebuild nations. In 2021 Dr. Rivers was enthroned as the King of Development for Ekumfi Kuotuka in Ghana, West Africa. From then on, the world began to call him Dr. Clyde Rivers, the King of Civility for his service to help create a civil world. He has received several global awards including two Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards from the US and the first ever Congressional Award in the name of Congressman Danny K. Davis from Illinois.

in the annals of professional sports.  It’s emphasis on diversity is unparalleled, it’s Code of
Conduct for all associated with the league is inspiring and its mantra of treating all people with
