The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Idaho Outlaws located in Boise, ID have been added to the record-setting expansion for the upcoming season and will lead a new At-Large Division composed to Pacific Northwest ABA teams. “We are very excited about this new division and the Outlaws,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “It is about time that the league gets a strong foothold in the PacNW and I know this will be very successful under the leadership of Andy Swenson, co-owner of the Outlaws. We already have several teams in the division.”

Andy is a native Idahoan and a 1992 graduate of Boise State University where he was a 5-year letterman in Men’s Golf and also a member of the Meridian High School Athletic Hall of Fame for Golf and a 2-time Idaho Junior Champion. He has been a high school and college head coach as well as an MLB Associate Scout for 28 years. Andy owns and operates Swenson Baseball Co. and Swenson Athletics LLC, outfitting high school, college and pro teams. “We are very excited about bringing the ABA to Idaho,” added Swenson. “And equally proud that I have been named At-Large Division Chairman to help expand the ABA into the Pacific Northwest.”
