The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Reno Rogues are set to begin play in November and will be a part of the new At-Large Division created by the league to include teams in the Pacific Northwest. “Reno should be a great ABA city,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “We’ve been looking for the right ownership and have found the right person in Tim Richardson. We’re very confident the team will be successful under his leadership.”
Tim was born and raised in the Boise, Idaho area and a 1991 Graduate of Boise State University. In high school, Tim played multiple sports and was a First Team All-Southern Idaho Conference wide receiver. After being inducted into the Meridian High School’s Golf Hall of Fame in 1986, Tim decided to pursue his golf career at BSU where he was a 4-year varsity letterman on the BSU Golf Team.
After graduating from BSU, he decided to get into the Manufactured Home Industry and has had tremendous success. Tim is married to Tonya Richardson, has 5 wonderful and successful children (Peyton, Sydney, Trevor, Roger (Abbi) and Megan (Nick). “I am very excited to work with my partner Andy Swenson and showcasing the Reno Rogues in the upcoming season,” added Richardson. “We have a lot of work to do and are ready for the challenge.”
