The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Rochester Royal Ballers are set to begin play in November. The team was founded this year by George Graham, an alumni of Aquinas Institute of Rochester, and under George’s guidance, the Royal Ballers are committed to building a legacy of excellence in Rochester, both in athletics and in community involvement.
“The Royal Ballers are deeply committed to serving the Rochester community,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “They see basketball as a way to connect with people, offering mentorship and inspiration to the next generation of athletes.”
Graham added, “The Royal Ballers stand for unity, character and a commitment to making a difference. We believe that basketball is more than just a sport; it’s a platform to develop. Every member of the Royal Ballers is encouraged to lead by example and give back to the community. As we prepare for our inaugural season starting Oct 26th vs Buffalo, we are focused on establishing a strong foundation for the team. This season marks the beginning of what we envision to be a successful and impactful presence in pro basketball in Rochester.”
