The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the West Michigan Lake Hawks will resume play in November after a 3-year hiatus. “We are very pleased to have the Ron Jenkins and his Lake Hawks back,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “While his team has not played since Covid, Ron has maintained his leadership role in the ABA and we know that his team and organization will be among the best in the league.”

The ABA continues to grow with record-setting expansion for next season plus the return of many teams that have been on hiatus. “With the growth of the league, the ABA is doing a major restructure of its regions and divisions during the off-season,” added Damon Cannon, Director of US Operations. “Each of our four regions will have two divisions, red and blue, and will be overseen by soon to be announced Regional Chairmen and Asst Regional Chairmen. Changes will be announced at the ABA League Meeting in St. Louis, April 4-6 which is concurrent with the ABA Finals.”
