The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Worcester Majors will be returning to the league starting in November under new ownership after a one-year hiatus. “We are very pleased to have the Majors back; they were a great team then and I know they will be great again under the leadership of Papee Paye,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And it is another good team in the very strong Northeast Division.
The team will be owned by Papee Paye, born in the Ivory Coast, but raised in Worcester MA. “My passion is basketball and helping my community as much as I can to help make it a better place,” added Paye. “My soul mission is to put a smile on someone else’s face and be a blessing to the next person. I was once a player for the Worcester Majors and I am excited for this new chapter with the team.” For more information, email papeepaye30@gmail.com
