The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Gabriel Blinder has been named Vice President of Television & Streaming. “The ABA, with its 120+ active teams, provide the most exciting, fastest-paced, high scoring basketball in the world,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “With our combination of NBA, NCAA and our own unique rules, there is nothing quite like an ABA game. Unfortunately, we have not had the national and international TV/streaming exposure to present the ABA product to fans worldwide. So we are very pleased to announce that Gabriel Blinder, Founder & CEO of Critical Sports and Entertainment, has joined the ABA with the primary goal of developing a partnership with a national cable and/or streaming company. We are very excited to have Gabriel as part of the ABA family and hope that soon fans worldwide will be able to enjoy the excitement of ABA basketball.”

Blinder has always stood out as an astute entrepreneur. He attended New York Law School earning his Juris Doctor degree specializing in Intellectual Property Law. Gabriel’s passion for law and the entertainment industry intersected in a powerful way, culminating in the creation of Critical Sports and Entertainment, a thriving representation agency in New York that has been certified by the NBPA and WNBPA. Gabriel currently serves as manager for over 50 clients drawing upon his expertise to guide their careers toward new heights of success.

“For a professional basketball league like the ABA, with a legendary history that started in the Dr. J, Iceman Gervin era, entering into its 24th season, with so many teams and such exciting basketball not to have national TV/streaming exposure is a shame,” added Blinder. “I truly believe with the right exposure, this amazing league will become one of the most popular basketball products in the world and I am going to do everything I can to make that happen. I am truly pleased and proud to be a part of the ABA and am looking forward to working with them to help achieve their goals.”
