In one of the most hard fought, competitive ABA Final games ever, the Steel City Yellow Jackets (Pittsburgh PA) defeated Team Trouble (Stockton CA) 125-121.
“Both teams participated in the Final Eight last year and were ousted in the semi-finals,” stated ABA CEO. “And both teams knew what it took to take another step forward. They did not disappoint and either team could easily have won. Both teams
should be very proud of a season well done.”
The Final Eight was hosted by Greg Brown, owner of the Baltimore Hawks, in Baltimore and it was a great series from start to finish. Fans had an opportunity to see some of the best teams in the ABA; the quality of basketball was outstanding. The Yellow Jackets replace the Jacksonville Giants as the 2021-2022 ABA Champions.
This was an excellent tournament held in Baltimore. Is was my first year being able to see the tournament live in action. So proud of the Steel City Yellow Jackets and an awesome congratulations to Coach Ace and to my son, Kenny for winning the MVP.
