The American Basketball Association (ABA) recommends that everyone interested in the history of basketball to read Nais-Myth: Basketball’s Stolen Legacy. The book was co-authored by Brion Carroll, co-owner of the ABA Herkimer Originals, an expansion team that just completed its first season in the league and was among the most successful teams in the ABA in spite of a population of only 7,118 people. Scott “Human Calculator” Flansburg, another Originals co-owner also contributed to the book.
“It really intrigued me how such a small city could generate such large enthusiastic crowds,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And then reading this book and seeing the history of basketball since 1891 in the Mohawk Valley, it was very understandable. Why the Basketball Hall of Fame is not in Herkimer is a surprise. A great book, well researched and it will make quite an impact on anyone who reads it.“
Nais-Myth: Basketball’s Stolen Legacy is available on Amazon and in bookstores nationwide.
