The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Bridgeport Kings have been added to the
record-setting number of expansion teams set to begin play in November.  “What a great addition this will be to the ABA’s Northeast Division,” stated ABA CEO.  “A link between our NY metro area teams and our teams in update New York and New England. And with Tyrone Swaby, we have a very experienced owner who should do well on and off the court.”
A native of Bridgeport CT, Swaby’s family moved to Miami FL where he played at Miami Killian High School before turning professional and playing internationally and in the ABA before returning to Miami to coach at Miami Dade High School.  “I am very excited about having the opportunity to own an ABA team,” added Swaby.  “And also the opportunity to return home to do it.   Having played in the ABA, I do have an understanding of what it takes to be successful and am going to make the city of Bridgeport proud.  I am also excited about ABAGALE – The ABA TV Network (www.abagaletv.com)  – and the opportunity to stream news and games about the Bridgeport Kings nationwide.  This is the first of several teams that I plan to have in the ABA.”
