The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Ray Jacobs has been named Vice President of Finance and will oversee several new financial initiatives that the league will be launching shortly.  “Having a person in this newly created position is long overdue,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.  “And having Ray Jacobs filling this position provides us with an extraordinary individual with a long career of success in the financial world.
Ray Jacobs has 30+ years in all phases of Commercial & Residential Real Estate Development, Marketing and Investing and will include ASRG (ABA Sports and Realty Group), the league’s venue building program among his many responsibilities.  As a private banker, he has negotiated business and asset contracts, managed a 40+ person staff agency while running a successful real estate brokerage
business.
With an eye for upcoming business trends, I have my sights set on a reimagined ABA under the ABAGALE banner,” added Jacobs.  “I have also been keeping my eye on the growing Sneakerhead resell industry and am always looking for synergies to pair banking and finance with De-fi banking, crypto thinking and I believe that the ABA and world will benefit by taking advantage of these opportunities. The ABA has quite a few exciting new financial programs on the drawing board, and I am pleased to be a part of their development.”
