The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Carbondale Skulls located in Carbondale, IL are set to begin when the league resumes play in November.  “Next season will be record-setting in the number of teams that will be playing next season,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.  “And the Carbondale Skulls will be a great addition the fast-growing Midwest Division.”
The Skulls will be owned by Dontey Faust, Sr, a graduate of Carbondale High School in 1994. In his spare time, Dontey practices Qigong which allows him to have a thriving interest in helping people reach their health and healing goals. He is a Past Master in the F&AM Prince Hall Fraternity and is very knowledgeable and very organized with first-hand experience in the basketball field.  “I am extremely excited about becoming a part of the ABA,” added Faust.  “I’ve followed the league for years and feel it is an amazing opportunity.  We will be competitive on and off the court.”  For more information, email [email protected]
