The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Colorado Journey has joined the league and will begin playing in November.  “We are pleased to have Phinehas Starks in the ABA and to again have a team in Colorado,” stated ABA CEO.  “Fort Collins is a long way from other ABA teams and our goal this spring and summer will be to add teams in Colorado, Nebraska and Utah to make traveling easier.”
The team will be owned by Phinehas Starks who played college basketball at Sterling College where he also was the Head JV Coach upon graduation.  After 3 years at Sterling, he pursued his Masters at Southwest Baptist University as a Graduate Assistant.  “I look to impact the ABA with high energy and a fast-paced style of play,” added Starks. “The Journey looks to grow and expand and we look to represent the ABA at a high level of professionalism.  We’re looking forward to starting the season.” For more information, email [email protected]
