The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Colorado Rise located in the Denver metro area will join the league starting in November. “We’ve very excited to be back in the Denver area,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And we have a terrific new owner with great sports and business experience in Chad Weinand. It should be a terrific addition to the ABA.”

Chad Weinand is a US Air Force veteran who began his business career as a small venture capital firm and currently operates a home-based customer service business that allows people to work from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Having competed at a state qualifying level in cross country, basketball and baseball, athletics have always played a role in his life.  He has coached football and basketball at the high school level, held a head recruiting role for a small college in the Denver area, served two years as the AAU Director of Football in Colorado and watched three of his sons earn the opportunity to be college student athletes.

“Working professionally in the sports world has always been my idea of a dream job,” added Weinand. “I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the ABA and introduce the Colorado Rise to the Denver Metro Area.” For more information, visit www.mycoloradorise.com, email [email protected], call 720 492 6620
