The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the Henderson Silverbacks to the growing list of teams that will be competing in the 2024-2025 season. “We have a great new owner with terrific experience on and off the court,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “The Las Vegas market is very competitive and we know that Justin King is the right person to maximize the potential there.”

Justin King is a professional basketball player and entrepreneur. He is the owner of KWR Agency, a financial services company. Born in California and raised in Las Vegas, King is well traveled and experienced with playing university basketball in Canada, Australia and the Mideast where he played professionally for 8 years.

“The Mission Statement of the Henderson Silverbacks is to empower players by providing them with opportunities to earn a sustainable income and establish meaningful careers beyond the game,” added King. “We are committed to cultivating a pathway to success for young athletes utilizing basketball as a primary platform for their personal and professional development.”

The team will be coached by Anthony Allen, a man well known for his passion and dedication to mentoring, educating young athletes and the love of basketball. He has been coaching from middle school to college for 20 years and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and has been working in the private sector providing strength training, substance knowledge information to athletes in various sports. He is currently a teacher at Quest Preparatory Academy in North Las Vegas where he runs the middle school basketball programs.
