The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Port Huron Cougars have been added to the record-setting expansion and will begin play in November. “We are very pleased to have Dr. Greg Cotton as an ABA owner,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. ” He has an incredible background and will be involved in the ABA on other initiatives that will be announced following the ABA Final Eight in St. Louis. Very excited to have Greg as part of the ABA.”

Dr. Cotton has over 35 years of military and corporate leadership experience. He is President & CEO of Cotton7 Global Enterprises which is primarily focused on Clean Technology Development, Infrastructure Management & Environmental Security. He is widely considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the areas of Risk Management, Business Intelligence, Anti-Terrorism, Lean/Six-Sigma, Process Development, Crisis Management and Global Business Development.

He also volunteers his time as the President of the Board for the Northwest Neighborhood Outreach Center, Junior Achievement, Points of Light Corporate Institute Leadership Faculty and has earned numerous military, commercial and volunteer awards including three Presidential Meritorious Service Medals, the President George H. W. Bush “Daily Point of Light Award” and recognized on three occasions with the Mahatma Gandhi Award.”
