The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the So Cal Sea Turtles have been added to the growing number of teams that will begin league play next season.  “The addition of ABAGALE TV has certainly contributed to the huge interest in the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.  “TV has been the missing piece and now with our teams being able to reach over 65 million homes on the Roku streaming platform, it makes ABA team ownership
better than ever before.”

The team will be owned by Jerry Thompson of Breakthrough Sports.  As a graduate of George Fox University and decorated scholar-athlete in high school and college, Thompson has been involved with Youth Programming for the past 10 years.  “As a former Secondary School coach, trainer, collegiate and semi-pro player, it’s always been my dream to be part of basketball at the highest level,” added Thompson.  “I will always continue to have a passion for the game.  As a current Director of Youth Sports and Travel Basketball Coach, my focus has shifted to creating opportunities for others to pursue their basketball dreams from various walks of life while giving back to the community surrounding communities.”
