The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Damon Cannon has been named Vice President of National Events.  “Damon has operated three successful ABA teams,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.

“The St. Louis Spirits, the Missouri Capitols and the River City Gamblers as well as two ABA Final Eight Tournament and the planning for the 2022-2023 ABA Final Eight in Atlanta, GA in April.  I thought that Damon is the perfect person to oversee several exciting new initiatives on the ABA drawing board.”
Damon has also served as the Division Chairman of the Midwest Division, was elected to the Great Midwest Football League Hall of Fame in 2011, owns the WABA Midwest Sound women’s pro basketball team and was Owner/Coach of the St. Louis Spirits semi-pro football team.  “I see sports as much more than what happens on the field or court,” added Cannon.
