The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Jill Steuber has been named ABA Director of Fitness for the league,  “We are very pleased that Jill, who is also a Division Chairman of the North Central Division and owner of the Michigan Daredevils, has taken on the added responsibility of overseeing multiple physical and mental health programs,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Her background and knowledge are extraordinary.  We will be announcing a major new fitness initiative in the next few days designed to impact the physical condition of all who participate.”

Jill has a BA in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and a MA in Criminal Justice from Boston University and has worked 20+ years in social services including 10 years with the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. “I have dedicated my life to making a difference in the lives of families across a diverse cultural background,” added Ms. Steuber. “My years in social services included working in crisis intervention, family preservation, foster care, child protective services and adoption subsidy.  I have also worked with sports and sports education over the past 10 years.  I am really looking forward to help directing fitness across the ABA and also ABA Jump Start.”
