The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Mark Jeffers has been named Senior Vice President of ABAGALE Sports & Broadcast, a new division of the ABA’s streaming TV network. “We are extremely fortunate to have a person with such a wide and diversified background in sports, media, marketing and entertainment,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Mark has done virtually everything in these areas for some huge companies and having him as part of ABAGALE will greatly strengthen the network.”

Jeffers is CEO of Marsar Sports & Entertainment, a marketing and distribution consulting company. He has 30+ years in the broadcast & marketing business which helps companies to better position their sports and entertainment products and programs. A three-time Emmy Award winner, he has served as Senior VP of Giles Communications; VP of Ascent Media Group; Director of Distribution and Operations for CBS Viacom and NBC VP of International Sales for NBC Super Sports. “I am very excited to be part of the launching of the ABAGALE TV Network,” added Jeffers. “The potential for all of these ABA team channels and Specialty Channels is amazing. The idea of launching over 100 streaming channels simultaneously has never before been done but it will happen this month on Roku and will reach over 65 million homes.”

Jeffers continued, “One of my first initiatives will be to help launch ABAGALE Radio/TV which will turn local AM radio stations into fulltime TV stations with unique local programming that should help these stations dramatically increase their ratings and revenues while providing their communities with never-before-seen video. Exciting indeed.”
